Welcome to the Lyerly Neurosurgery website. Our practice was founded in 1934 as the first neurosurgical practice in the state of Florida. Our founder, Dr James G. Lyerly Sr. was one of the 19 founding members of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Since that time, our neurosurgeons have been dedicated to providing the highest quality neurosurgical services to the southeastern United States. For more than 70 years, Lyerly Neurosurgery has pioneered neurosurgical patient care nationally as well as within the region. Lyerly Neurosurgery provides full service neurosurgical care. We treat Spine disorders, Brain Tumors, Cerebrovascular disease (aneurysms and stroke), Peripheral nerve disorders, skull base lesions, and movement disorders. We are experts in mininmally invasive techniques (brain and spine), neuroendoscopy and radiosurgery (Gamma knife).
