Howard C. Chandler Jr., MD
Howard C. Chandler Jr., MD, is a board-certified neurological surgeon and native of Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Chandler is a graduate of Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in Winston- Salem, North Carolina.
He completed his surgical internship and neurosurgical residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He completed an international skull base surgery fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, in London, England.
After relocating to Montana, Dr. Chandler founded and chaired the National Institutes of Health-funded Montana Neuroscience Institute in 1995. There, he focused his research on brain tumors. At Lyerly, Dr. Chandler is limiting his practice to treating brain, spine and skull base tumors.
