Michael J. Petr, MD, PhD
Michael J. Petr, MD, PhD, joined Lyerly Neurosurgery on October 31. He will perform spinal procedures and will specialize in minimally invasive cranial surgery with special interest in pituitary tumors.
Dr. Petr received his medical degree from Loyola University - Chicago in Maywood, Illinois. He attended the neuroscience program of Loyola University Graduate School and completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Cincinnati Mayfield Clinic. He completed a fellowship in surgical neuro-oncology at the University of Cincinnati Mayfield Clinic and Spine Institute. Before joining Lyerly, Dr. Petr was chief of the Division of Neurosurgical Oncology at the University of Florida Shands Jacksonville.
Dr. Petr is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
